Introduction:

Welcome to Day 21 of the ‘Bless the Nation 50 Days of Prayer.’ We are joined for today’s devotional by Hamilton Ratshefola directly from the World Economic Forum Conference in Durban. Hamilton, who is the Country Manager for IBM South Africa, shares an inspiring message to encourage us to use our God-given gifts in whatever field God has placed us, in such a demonstration of excellence that it draws others into the Kingdom of God.

Devotional by Hamilton Ratshefola:

Welcome to the IFSA Bless the Nation 50 Days of Prayer. My name is Hamilton Ratshefola, professionally I am the Country Manager of IBM South Africa, spiritually I am the elder of Saints and Assemblies of God. I am a child of God and serve God for the past 27 years. I have enjoyed His grace, His goodness and His mercies day by day. God has provided for me and has protected me over the years, and I stand here to declare His goodness and His grace to the nations. My role is to shine the light of God wherever I am. I excel in my business activities and in my responsibilities as a father and a husband. In my excellence in business, in church and family, I have impacted and attracted many people to the Kingdom of God. My message to the children of God is to excel in the gifts God has bestowed upon them. Do not try to imitate anyone for you have been given spiritual gifts and skills that you need to discover. You are fearfully and wonderfully made and God has given you all the spiritual gifts to enable you to be who you want to be and to be able to reach your destination and there is nothing that is possible that you cannot do as a child of God, for God has given you all power and all abilities. For those in business, you need to take your place in the marketplace, you need to occupy the gate. Where there is Christ, there is excellence, there is wisdom, there is impact. Use your gift to enable and create jobs, to inspire and to give hope.

Let us pray: Father, you are a good God, and today we pray for men and women who serve You and who know You, that Father, You may do an amazing work in their lives and You make them discover the gifts and destiny you have actually created them for. Father, we pray that You would bless and open opportunities for men and women who loves You, and who would excel in the areas that You have given the gifts and skills for. Father, we pray for this country, that You would open opportunities for the men and women who serve you, and Father You bless them abundantly, whatever they touch, Father, You bless, whatever they do, You bless, You open up doors for them. I pray believing that God has a purpose for His children to excel and transform the world. My Lord, we pray the Ecclesiastes 2:26 prayer, that may the righteous get wisdom and success, and may the unrighteous get wealth only to give it to the righteous at the right time. Father, we pray for opportunities and blessing upon Your children in the name of Jesus. May God’s name be glorified in Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen and amen!

Daily Prayer Guide:

We bless South Africa’s agriculture with fair, wise and responsible cultivation of land, with healthy relationships between farmers, workers, market developers and financial institutions. We bless our farmers with the farming, marketing and financial skills, to develop innovative ways to cultivate our land and assure long-term food security. We pray that our agricultural land will be fertile, that rain will fall in the right season, that the crops that are grown and animals that are raised will be healthy and prosper. We bless our trade agreements and food-exports to other nations. Lord God, bless our land!

Remember to bless the land with the 3 blessings according to Num.6:24-26, Matt.5:2-12 and Eph.1:3-4.
