Introduction:
Welcome to day 16, of Bless the Nation – 50 days of prayer. In week 3 we focus on the economy and business industry of South Africa. Today’s devotional message is by Dr. Zienzile Dillon. Dr Zie is the Global President for Marketplace Calling International (MCI) as well as Founder for the Global Young Marketplace leaders.

Her passion and mandate is to raise greatness and see purpose driven business people and professionals influence and reign in the marketplace. She encourages us with various scriptures from the Word to bring God back into our businesses and to receive our business plans from God.

Devotional by Dr Zienzile Dillon:

Good day. This is dr Zie Dillon. I am here to share with you about the mountain of prayer in business. If we look at busness – business is so critical. The importance of business can never be underestimated. Each country, when you look at the richness of a country or the wealthiness of country, it’s measured by the economic activities that happened there. If we go back to word of God, if we look at what has been happening in general, there has been a seperation between business and church. There has been a seperation between those with God and those with gold. Now those with God has been pursuing gold, but they have no gold and those with gold has no God. So it is important for us to have the two brought together. In line with the ark of the covenant. The Ark of the Covenant represented the presence of God, but there was also gold in there. So it is imporatant for us to bring the two together. In the olden days we know that when the Ark of Covenant was captured, they had to take back the Ark of the Covenant, but also take gold. Now gold must come back into the Kingdom of God, but for us to be able to handle gold, we need to understand the owner of gold, who is the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself, the Lord God. So we need to go back to prayer. We need to be able to usher in the presence of God. We need to function in line with Gen 1:26-28. We are created in the image of God and we were created in His likeness. He blessed us to be fruitful and multiply. So we need to be able to function in that space, where we are functioning and representing the kingdom of God here on earth. We pray in Mat 6:10 “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, here on earth as it is in heaven.” We pray that prayer elsewhere, but not in the marketplace. We need to be able to pray that very prayer in the marketplace to say “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. “

Now the other question that we need to answer is – what business plan are you pursuing? Where did you get that business plan? Where did you download it from? Did you borrow it from somebody or maybe just thought about it? Is it a business plan that is coming from the Lord. Jer 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. “So it is important for us to go to the Lord, download the very plan that He has for us here on earth, so that we will be able to impliment the very plan here on earth. I know that the plans from God, they are very transformational. The will bring restitution, restoration and revival and change the lives of people because ultimately it’s about souls. So it’s important for us to focus on the Kingdom of God in the marketplace. It’s important for us to usher in the presence of God so lets pray together.

Father, we pray in the name of Jesus. Father, fogive us for all our sins, for dishonestly engaging in business activities, even to the point of even taking bribes. Father, we pray that you forgive us. We stand on the Word that He who knew no sin, He became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Father forgive us as your children. Father, we desire, Oh God, to do business the way You want us to do business. Father, we pray even for the business plan that we have been pursuing, even those that were not of You, Father. We lay them aside, Father, we are open to the move of Your Holy Spirit. We are open, God, to You holding our right hands to lead us and guide us according to Is 45:1-3. Father, we thank you that You lead and guide us, that we will be able to represent You on earth and be able to bring in Your plans in the marketplace that will change the lives of people, that will transform the marketplace and that will bring revival in the marketplace.

Father, we pray that Your Spirit will raise up a standard as we surrender to the will of God, in Jesus’s name. Amen.

Daily Prayer Guide:

Today is Workers’ Day. Let us bless our LABOUR FORCE with these 3 blessings: In the name of Jesus Christ we bless the people of South Africa and every worker in our nation: The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” Num.6:24-26, (NKJV).

Blessed are the peacemakers, for you shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for yours is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Mat.5:2-12, (NKJV)

Blessed are You, our God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ…that we should be holy and without blame before You in love” Eph.1:3-4, (NKJV)

We bless the Departments of Small Business Development and Trade and Industry.

PRAYER-WALK/DRIVE: Your local mall/shopping centre and pray for management, owners of businesses, retailers, vendors, shop assistants, cashiers, cleaners, etc.

INTERCEDE for the salvation of corrupt officials and citizens, thieves, murderers, instigators of unrest, rebellion and violence, etc.
