Introduction:

Welcome to day 15 of week 3, Bless the Nation – 50 days of prayer. This week we focus on the mountain or sphere of economy. We are blessed to have Apostle Linda Gobodo, founder of His Church Kingdom Ministries and The Vuka Africa Foundation. Her passion is to raise and equip leaders in their area of their calling and gifting through discipleship and to release them to function in the different domains. Today, Apostle Linda, encourages us to serve God and not Mammon and reminds us that prayer is the currency of God’s Kingdom.

Devotional by Apostle Linda Gobodo:

Shalom!
Welcome to the 3rd week of the 50 days of blessing our Nation. This week we
are praying for the Mountain of Economy or Business.

I am Linda Gobodo from Vuka Africa Foundation

Our scripture for today is Matthew 6:24-34: There is a battle of altars in the market place contending for the control of the economies of Nations. In this passage of scripture our Lord Jesus Christ warns us to be careful not to serve Mammon (the god of money) but to serve the  Almighty God. Mammon makes you believe you work to meet your needs, yet the bible says do not worry about your life, what you are going to eat, what you are going to wear but instead , seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Prayer is the currency of the Kingdom and righteousness is the scepter. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne. Pray to be delivered from the system of Babylon which is controlled by Mammon.  Pray and establish righteousness and Justice in the market place and for the economy to be in the hands of the righteous.

Let us pray :
Father God bless our nation South Africa and  bless our economy. I declare that South Africa belongs to God. Lord let your Kingdom come, let your will be done in our Nation. O Lord save our Nation from the evil one, for yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Deliver our nation from the junk status by your mighty power according to your righteousness. Let justice run down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream in the market place and in our courts in Jesus name.
Amen

Daily Prayer Guide:

As we focus our blessings on the economy, natural resources and agriculture. While we continue to speak the 3 blessings of Num.6:24-26, Matt.5:2-12 and Eph.1:3-4 over our nation, let us add this blessing over the economy:

In the name of Jesus Christ, we bless South Africa’s economy! May we have a healthy currency, a quick repayment of national debt and no need to borrow from the World Bank; may our economy have a stable environment to attract foreign investors; May corruption be dealt with speedily; May the Government be accountable, wise and responsible in their spending of national revenue and resources and for a healthy balance between government grants and entrepreneurial development; May we all have a healthy work mentality. We bless the departments of the SA Revenue Service, National Treasury, Economic Development, International Relationship and Cooperation, Labour, Public Works, Public Enterprises, Transport, the Reserve Bank, JSE and Mint.

Father God, please deliver us in South Africa from all forms of greed and mismanagement of money and help us to pursue righteousness and godliness. – For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.” 1Tim.6:10-11 (NKJV).
