Join various prayer networks and denominations across South Africa from the 16th of April to the 4th of June 2017 as we come together in the first of a 50 Days of Prayer initiative with a focus on the seven spheres of society and to speak love and blessings over South Africa in a united effort. During this period we would encourage prayer walks and prayer drives to cover the target area of our prayers, praying a daily blessing over South Africa. Prayer walk, prayer drive, prayer cycle your neighbourhood, your community, your town, your city, the shopping mall, the business district and industrial areas, interceding for the salvation of those who are lost and without the knowledge of God. Devotional by Pastor Mangaliso Matshobane

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and our Saviour. This is Mangaliso Matshobane and I’m going to be leading you today as we begin our 50 Days of Prayer as we bless our nation. We are reading from Isaiah chapter 2 and from verse 2.

Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. (3) Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Now I want to say as we focus on this mountain of religion, and the Church of Jesus Christ being the key in this mountain, because the Bible says the mountain of the Lord shall be above all other mountains. So we want to pray that God will cause the Church to be the light and to be the salt that truly it becomes a city that is built upon a hill that cannot be hidden. That we pray that God will cause the Church to be the salt that will be able to make the earth a place worth living and I believe that God will use us. You don’t put a light under the table, but you put it on top for all to see. May God lead us in this time of prayer, and may we make sure that the mountain of religion, the Church of Jesus Christ, becomes high above all other mountains and leads the way and gives direction. We are praying:

Our Father and our God we thank you that we are blessing our nation this day, that South Africa is a blessed nation. Father, we declare over South Africa the blessing of the Lord. South Africa may the Lord bless and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”

We declare over South Africa that South Africa you are blessed. Blessed are you when you are poor in spirit, for yours is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you South Africa when you mourn, for the Lord shall comfort you. Blessed are you South Africa when you are meek, for you shall inherit the earth. You are blessed when you hunger and thirst for righteousness South Africa, for you shall be filled. You are blessed when you are pure in heart, for you shall see God. You are blessed when you are a peacemaker South Africa, for you shall surely be called the Son of God. Blessed are you South Africa when you are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for yours is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you South Africa. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. South Africa you are blessed, our God blesses you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places and therefore we release the spiritual blessings over South Africa, we bless our nation. We bless this today and we pray that God would continue to show His favour over this country and continue to shower his mercies over this nation in the name of Jesus. Join me as we continue throughout this whole week to hear others giving prayer. Let us join together. We are trusting God South Africa will be a changed and a blessed nation, in Jesus name, amen.

DAILY BLESSING 2: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for yours is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for you shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for you shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for you shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for you shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for you shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for you shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for yours is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Mat.5:2-12, (NKJV)

DAILY BLESSING 3: Blessed are You, our God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ…that we should be holy and without blame before You in love” Eph.1:3-4, (NKJV)
